“Special needs” in children can be identified as early as preschool years (3-5), and at GBCA Head Start, we work with our enrolled families to determine each child’s needs.
We recently partnered with @Partnership of Maternal and Child Health of Northern New Jersey to host a workshop during which we educated parents on how expansive the definition of “normal” can be.
Parents are the number one resource and advocates for their children, and with the proper knowledge and tools, we all work together to give each of our students a Head Start in life.
