On Sunday, Feb. 9, former Hackensack High School standout Gene Ligon Jr.’s current college team, the Virginia State Trojans, lost 19-5 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Lock Haven Bald Eagles.

The game took place at Whaley Colbert Field. This was their fourth matchup against the Bald Eagles this season.

The Trojans’ next game is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 28 at 3 p.m. at Holmes Field at Knobbs Creek Park against Mid-Atlantic Christian Mustangs.
