On Sunday, April 13, former Hackensack High School standout Gene Ligon Jr.’s current college team, the Virginia State Trojans, won 4-2 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Bluefield State Big Blues.

The game took place at Whaley Colbert Field. This was their third matchup against the Big Blues this season.

The Trojans’ next game is scheduled for Friday, April 18 at 1 p.m. at Whaley Colbert Field against Mid-Atlantic Christian Mustangs.
