WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5), Co-Chair of the bipartisan Problem Solvers Caucus, traveled to Israel on a Bipartisan Congressional Delegation led by House Speaker Kevin McCarthy and Rep. Steny Hoyer with more than a dozen members of Congress. It is his second trip in two weeks. Last week, Gottheimer joined Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries’ Congressional Delegation to Israel.
While in Israel — America’s most vital ally in the Middle East — the delegation held high-level bilateral meetings, toured Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum, and honored the memory of the victims of the Holocaust in a wreath-laying ceremony.
Gottheimer met with Yad Vashem Chairman Dani Dayan and discussed the museum’s new exhibit, the Book of Names, which actualizes the number of Holocaust victims, and displays the names, dates of birth, hometowns, and places of death of 6 million murdered Jews.
Gottheimer participated again in high-level meetings with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, President of Israel Isaac Herzog, and Speaker of the Knesset Amir Ohana.
