Meet the Staff Monday!!
Please help us welcome Ashley Barrios - Licensed Social Worker!
As a Social Worker for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Lower Bergen County, Ashley will be working directly with students, families, and staff, at all four of our sites. Ashley will work on developing systems, strategies, and documentation for club members. Additionally, Ashley will work closely in assisting in training front line staff in working with students in areas of Social Emotional Learning (SEL). Finally, Ashley will develop themed monthly workshops for families in addressing areas of concern, or need, related to mental or physical health.
Ashley received her bachelor’s degree in social work from Ramapo College in 2021 and her master’s degree in social work from Rutgers University in 2022. Ashley has experience providing individual and group counseling to children and adolescents. Ashley takes a strengths-based approach, working with children and adolescents, to enhance their emotional and mental well-being.
In her spare time, Ashley enjoys going for walks, swimming, and trying new restaurants!
