On Saturday, April 12, former Rutherford High School standout Alex Gomez’s current college team, the Old Dominion Monarchs, lost 5-4 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Georgia Southern Eagles.

The game took place at J. I. Clements Stadium. This was their second matchup against the Eagles this season.

The Monarchs’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, April 13 at 1 p.m. at J. I. Clements Stadium against Georgia Southern Eagles.
