On Saturday, April 12, former Hackensack High School standout Gene Ligon Jr.’s current college team, the Virginia State Trojans, won 4-2 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Bluefield State Big Blues.

The game took place at Whaley Colbert Field. This was their first matchup against the Big Blues this season.

The Trojans’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, April 12 at 2 p.m. at Whaley Colbert Field against Bluefield State Big Blues.
