On Saturday, March 22, former Rutherford High School standout Alex Gomez’s current college team, the Old Dominion Monarchs, won 8-5 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Georgia State Panthers.

The game took place at Bud Metheny Ballpark. This was their second matchup against the Panthers this season.

The Monarchs’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, March 23 at 1 p.m. at Bud Metheny Ballpark against Georgia State Panthers.
