On Wednesday, March 19, former Hackensack High School standout Gene Ligon Jr.’s current college team, the Virginia State Trojans, lost 12-2 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Mount Olive Trojans.

The game took place at Scarborough Field. This was their first matchup against the Trojans this season.

The Trojans’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, March 25 at 3 p.m. at Whaley Colbert Field against Barton Bulldogs.
