On Tuesday, March 25, former Hackensack High School standout Gene Ligon Jr.’s current college team, the Virginia State Trojans, lost 12-0 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Barton Bulldogs.

The game took place at Whaley Colbert Field. This was their first matchup against the Bulldogs this season.

The Trojans’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 29 at 1 p.m. at Whaley Colbert Field against Lincoln Lions.
