On Saturday, Feb. 15, former Rutherford High School standout Alex Gomez’s current college team, the Old Dominion Monarchs, lost 7-3 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.

The game took place at Mac Nease Baseball Park at Russ Chandler Stadium. This was their second matchup against the Yellow Jackets this season.

The Monarchs’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 16 at 1 p.m. at Mac Nease Baseball Park at Russ Chandler Stadium against Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.
