Giants.com is conducting a countdown to the 2025 Giants Training Camp, featuring 25 questions over 25 days. The second question in this series focuses on Malik Nabers and what he can achieve in his second NFL season.

Matt Citak discusses Nabers’ impressive rookie year, where the 21-year-old set new records for the Giants. He broke the franchise’s single-season reception record with 109 catches, amassing 1,204 yards and seven touchdowns. Nabers also surpassed Puka Nacua’s record for most catches by a rookie receiver, although Raiders tight end Brock Bowers holds the all-time rookie reception record with 112 catches.

As Nabers enters his second year, expectations are high. Citak notes that predicting over 110 receptions is challenging but not impossible due to changes in the Giants’ offense. The team signed veterans Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston during free agency and drafted Jaxson Dart. With Wilson as the starter, there is optimism about improved quarterback play benefiting Nabers.

ESPN recently ranked Nabers as the seventh-best wide receiver based on input from NFL executives, coaches, and scouts. An NFC defensive coach remarked on Nabers’ exceptional talent: “Some guys are just different,” adding that it doesn’t take long to recognize his abilities.

The countdown continues with various questions addressing different aspects of the Giants’ offseason and upcoming season.
