On Sunday, Feb. 2, former Hackensack High School standout Gene Ligon Jr.’s current college team, the Virginia State Trojans, lost 9-3 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Clark Atlanta Panthers.
The game took place at Gresham Park. This was their third matchup against the Panthers this season.
The Trojans’ next game is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 7 at 3 p.m. at Whaley Colbert Field against Lock Haven Bald Eagles.
