With the commencement of training camp, the New York Giants have signed veteran safety K’Von Wallace. Wallace had previously participated with the team on a tryout basis during minicamp in mid-June.
Standing at 5-foot-11 and weighing 205 pounds, Wallace was initially drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft. During his time with Philadelphia, he played in 45 out of 71 games, including all 17 regular-season games and three postseason games during their Super Bowl LVII run in 2022.
Wallace was released before the start of the 2023 season. He then spent periods with Arizona and Tennessee before joining Seattle, where he appeared in nine games last season.
Throughout his career, Wallace has accumulated 147 total tackles, eight passes defensed, one interception, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery. He has started in 19 games overall, achieving a career-high of 12 starts in 2023 while playing for both the Cardinals and Titans.
Before entering the NFL, Wallace completed his college career at Clemson University tied for most games played (59) in program history upon graduation. He was instrumental on two teams that reached the CFP National Championship Game, winning once. At Clemson, he earned two-time All-ACC honors and served as team captain. His college stats include 178 tackles, 21 passes defensed, five interceptions returned for a total of 180 yards (including one touchdown), two sacks, and two forced fumbles.
