The New York Giants returned to the practice field on Sunday after their first break of training camp. The session took place under overcast skies, with rain holding off until the end.

During this fourth practice, the team shifted its focus from red zone work to second-and-long and third-down situations. This was also the last practice before players put on pads.

The offense spent most of its time on its own side of the 50-yard line, resulting in limited scoring opportunities. In a simulated drive during the final team period, quarterback Russell Wilson scored a touchdown on a play-action run following a defensive pass interference that placed the ball at the 1-yard line.

Defensively, there were several notable plays. Cornerback Dru Phillips tipped a pass from Wilson at the line of scrimmage, allowing safety Jevón Holland to intercept it and return it for what could have been a touchdown.

Other defensive highlights included Phillips breaking up a sideline pass during 7-on-7 drills. Linebackers Micah McFadden and Darius Muasau combined to bat down a pass over the middle, while cornerback Nic Jones forced an incompletion downfield.

On offense, Jaxson Dart connected with tight end Theo Johnson in tight coverage. Jameis Winston completed passes to Bryce Ford-Wheaton and Thomas Fidone for gains, while Dart found Cam Skattebo and Dalen Cambre for additional yardage.

One standout moment occurred when Wilson threw toward Darius Slayton near the sideline; Slayton made a one-handed catch for a first down. Wilson later connected with Malik Nabers for two significant gains, including one that went for 30 yards after Nabers turned upfield following his catch.

Rookie quarterback Dart had what may have been his best performance so far in camp. He completed back-to-back passes to Beaux Collins and Dalen Cambre for substantial gains and later moved the offense into the red zone with completions to Juice Wells and Jordan Bly.

In another highlight-reel play near practice’s end, Dart attempted to find Da’Quan Felton in the back of the end zone. After Felton failed to secure it due to defensive pressure, Skattebo caught the deflected ball but was ruled out of bounds as his toe touched the line.

The defense continued applying pressure throughout team drills, with Abdul Carter and Ty Summers both recording would-be sacks in live action.
