The New York Giants and WFAN, an Audacy Sports station, have announced an extension of their partnership to broadcast all Giants games. WFAN will remain the flagship station for the team, airing preseason, regular season, and postseason games on both its FM/AM frequencies and the Audacy app. The agreement also includes year-round monthly programming produced by the team and a continuation of the weekly “Big Blue Kickoff Live” preview show during the regular season.
WFAN will launch this season’s coverage with a day of live programming from Giants Training Camp at the Quest Diagnostics Training Center on July 31. The schedule begins with “Boomer & Gio” at 6:00 a.m. ET and continues with “Evan & Tiki” at 2:00 p.m. ET. Both shows plan to feature interviews with players, coaches, and front office members.
Chris Oliviero, Chief Business Officer and New York Market President at Audacy, said, “WFAN and The New York Giants are two of the most successful sports brands in the tri-state area, and we’re honored to continue this long-standing partnership for the fans of Big Blue. More programming, exclusive experiences and of course Tiki, will make the seasons ahead all the more special.”
Former Giants running back Tiki Barber is joining Giants.com’s John Schmeelk as co-host for pregame and postgame coverage on gamedays. Barber has been a host at WFAN since 2022 and was recently named one of the franchise’s “Top 100” players of all time. Bob Papa will continue as play-by-play announcer alongside Carl Banks and Howard Cross.
Barber commented on his new role: “I am really excited to be joining the Giants gameday radio broadcast team on WFAN. This organization has meant so much to me, professionally and personally. The Giants have a long history of legendary broadcasters and Wellington Mara always told them to call it like they see it because our fans know better. I look forward to providing analysis and insight that Giants fans appreciate.”
The weekly “Big Blue Kickoff Live,” presented by Cadillac, will air every Saturday morning from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. ET during the regular season on WFAN and via streaming platforms including Audacy’s app, Giants.com, and YouTube channel. Schmeelk hosts alongside Marc Malusis.
Nilay Shah, Senior Vice President for Marketing & Brand Strategy at the Giants said: “Our mission is to provide our fans with the best Giants coverage across all content mediums. The ability to create year-round programming around tentpole NFL events, along with adding Tiki Barber’s expertise on gamedays to our already talented roster of former players, is a win for our fans.”
WFAN listeners can expect ticket giveaways throughout the season by tuning in locally or nationally via various digital channels.
