On Tuesday, April 1, former Hackensack High School standout Gene Ligon Jr.’s current college team, the Virginia State Trojans, lost 24-14 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Barton Bulldogs.

The game took place at Nixon Field. This was their second matchup against the Bulldogs this season.

The Trojans’ next game is scheduled for Thursday, April 10 at 1 p.m. at Whaley Colbert Field against Apprentice Builders.
