On Sunday, March 30, former Hackensack High School standout Gene Ligon Jr.’s current college team, the Virginia State Trojans, lost 18-8 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Lincoln Lions.

The game took place at Whaley Colbert Field. This was their third matchup against the Lions this season.

The Trojans’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, April 1 at 3 p.m. at Nixon Field against Barton Bulldogs.
