CBS Sports has named New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers and defensive lineman Dexter Lawrence among the NFL’s most entertaining players for 2025. The recognition comes as part of CBS Sports writer Cody Benjamin’s “2025 All-Fun Team,” which highlights players known for both their on-field performance and dynamic personalities.
“We present an NFL lineup consisting not only of distinct on-field magic but equally dynamic personality. These guys aren’t just good at football. They’re elite at producing a good time. They excel at entertaining, turning even the most mundane Sundays into a spectacle,” Benjamin wrote.
Nabers, who is entering his second year in the league, was praised for his playmaking abilities during his rookie season. “Another product of the LSU factory, Nabers is just one year into his career, but he transcended the Giants’ perpetual woes as a rookie with acrobatic sideline grabs, confirming himself as one of the most gifted young playmakers in the game,” Benjamin stated. “Can you imagine putting he, (Ja’Marr) Chase and (Justin) Jefferson on the same NFL field? Talk about the world’s largest fireworks display.”
During his first season with the Giants, Nabers set a new franchise record with 109 receptions for 1,204 yards and seven touchdowns. He finished fifth in league receptions despite missing two games and ranked sixth overall in receiving yards per game with 80.3. Nabers also led all rookies in several categories including yards after contact (256), first downs (55), and missed tackles forced (19), according to Pro Football Focus. His performance earned him a spot in the Pro Bowl and selection to the PFWA All-Rookie Team.
Other wide receivers named to CBS Sports’ list include Cincinnati’s Ja’Marr Chase and Minnesota’s Justin Jefferson.
Dexter Lawrence was also recognized by CBS Sports for his impact on defense. “Sorry, but you don’t earn the name ‘Sexy Dexy’ as a 340-pound defensive lineman without some genuine pizzaz,” Benjamin wrote. “Despite his monumental frame, Lawrence plays like a quick mover at the heart of the Giants’ ascending front, clogging up lanes and downing opposing quarterbacks with exuberance. He’s the kind of guy who will crush you in the pocket, then lift your spirits after the fact.”
Lawrence recorded nine sacks over his first 12 games before suffering a season-ending injury last year. He added 16 quarterback hits, eight tackles for loss, one forced fumble, and one pass defensed to his statistics that season. Despite missing time due to injury, Lawrence was selected to his third consecutive Pro Bowl and was voted by peers to the NFL Players Association All-Pro team at nose tackle for a third straight year.
Kansas City’s Chris Jones joined Lawrence on CBS Sports’ All-Fun Team as an interior defensive lineman.
